The Law Library hosted a reception celebrating the opening of the David Sive Archives on April 20, 2004.



The faculty of the Law School voted unanimously to grant tenure to Law Library Director and Professor of Law Marie Stefanini Newman on March 10, 2004.

The ASIL Guide to Electronic Resources for International Law calls the Pace CISG Database "a particularly valuable resource," and says that it "is a masterful example of Internet-based scholarship and is a credit to its creators."  The CISG database is produced by the Pace Law Library and the Pace University School of Law Institute of International Commercial Law.

Sunny Hlewicki, Staff Assistant, Law Library, received the Pace University President's Extra Mile Award during Employee Recognition Week in December 2002.  Sunny received the award for providing extraordinary service in helping others on behalf of Pace University.  Congratulations to Sunny!

The International Association of Law Libraries (IALL) presented its 2002 Best Non-Commercial Web Site Award to the CISG web site.  The CISG database encompasses international commercial law as well as the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

Associate Law Library Director Jack McNeill moderated the program, Global Citizen: Immigration Law Research Challenges, at the 2001 AALL conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Pace Online Health Law Library was highly recommended by as a reference for anyone studying health law issues on any level, from local to federal.  Margaret R. Moreland, a lawyer and reference librarian at Pace Law School specializing in health law issues, designed and maintains the Online Health Law Library.

Marie Newman (and Alice Pidgeon) with her award for Law Library Journal article of the year at the AALL conference in Philadelphia.Law Library Director and Professor of Law Marie Stefanini Newman received the 2000 Law Library Journal Article of the Year Award from the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL).  The award was presented to Professor Newman at the annual AALL conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Her article, Evaluation Criteria and Quality Control for Legal Knowledge Systems, was published at 91 Law Library Journal 9 (1999), and discusses the attributes of high-quality websites.
