Faculty Services

Each full-time faculty member is assigned a professional librarian as a liaison to provide assistance with research projects and general Library requests. In addition, Deborah Heller, Director of the Law Library, will reassign research requests whenever your Library Liaison is not available. Although you are welcome to deal directly with any member of the Library staff, your initial contact normally should be your assigned liaison or Deborah.

The reference librarians provide the faculty with innovative and expert research assistance. In particular, your liaisons are knowledgeable about the Library's resources, especially in the areas of expertise of their assigned faculty members. They will contact you throughout the year with items of current awareness in your specialty. At the beginning of each semester, your Library Liaison will ask you to identify the research topics and class assignments you have on your agenda. This information will help us to serve you better.
